The Evolutionary Structural Optimization (ESO) is one of the various optimization methods that have been developed by G. Xie and M. Steven in 1997. The purpose of this research is to find the minimum weight and volume of plate structure on different support conditions and different load cases. In this research one squared plate (1m-1m) has been considered with different load cases and support conditions. The finite element analysis and ESO method has been used to find the optimal shape and thickness of the plate. The optimal shaped has been obtained by solving more than 200 different models. The Ansys 10.0 has been used in this research . This not rational that we assume only one optimal shape for any of the load cases, because for any of the models we have a global optimal thickness and this matter don't allow that we have one optimal case for all models. So for any of the support conditions we recognized one optimal shape with optimal thickness.
