تئاتر و نمایشنامه نویسی گونه‌ی جدیدی از هنر و ادبیاتی است که در قرن سیزدهم هجری شمسی در ایران متولد شد و سر فصل جدیدی در تاریخ هنر و ادبیات ایران گشود.استقبال نویسندگان از این موضوع و پرداختن به آن در سال های آغازین آن دوره، صرفا به اقتباس و تقلید از آثار غربی محدود می‌شد اما با رشد آگاهی و فکر و وسعت دید نویسندگان و هنرمندان و آشنایی هرچه بیشتر مردم با این هنر و ادبیات واز طرفی با پیشرفت تئاتر و کشف امکان‌های نامحدود در ادبیات نمایشی، توجه به این مسأله را اهمیت فراوانی بخشید تا جایی که یکی از دغدغه‌های اصلی نویسندگان و هنرمندان معاصر اینک پرورش و بالندگی این نوع ادبی و هنر است.در همین راستا و با همین هدف، در این نوشتار مختصات کلی نمایش و تئاتر و خاستگاه آن در یک فصل ذکر گردید و سپس تکامل و گسترش آن در اروپا تا قرن نوزدهم میلادی مورد بررسی قرار گرفت .فصل دوم اختصاص داده شد به پیشنه‌ی تاریخی نمایش سنتی در ایران و در فصل سوم نیز تاریخچه‌ی نمایش نامه نویسی و تئاتر در ایران بررسی شده است.تحلیل محتوایی و ساختاری پنج نمایشنامه از مهم‌ترین نمایشنامه نویسان قرن سیزدهم‮‭۱۲۵۰ - (۱۳۰۰‬ه‍- .ش (بخش دیگری از این پایان نامه را در برمی‌گردد .تحلیل محتوایی به تأثیر عوامل گوناگون اجتماعی، سیاسی و فرهنگی این دوره بر نمایشنامه‌ها می‌پردازد و از طرفی اثرگذاری این نمایشنامه‌ها را بر تحولات فضای موجود جامعه نشان می‌دهد .تحلیل ساختاری، چگونگی عناصر نمایشنامه نویسی را نظیر ساختمان نمایشی، شخصیت پردازی، طرح و پرداخت، و زبان نمایشی، مورد نقد و بررسی قرار می‌دهد

Theater and play are new types of a Literature which was born in 13 th century in Iran and opened a new section in Iran's art and Literature. In early years of this period outhor's reception of thy subject and studing a bout it were just Limited to the adaption and initationof western works. But with outhors and artist's increasing awareness of this art and Literature and getting familiar with it, and on the other hand , with theater derelopment and discovering untimited possibilities in play Literatture, it received a great importauce as much as, it became one of the basic apprehensions of recent authors and artists and became a developed Literal and artical genre.at first, in Line with this purpose, general characteristics of play and theater and the origin of them, described in the first chapter and then, their evolution and development till 19 th century in Europe, was investigated.Second chapter was allocated to the background of play and theater in Iran and each of these issues are investigated separately.The other chapter of this thesis, is concerned with content analysis and structure analysis of five plays from The most importaut outhors of early in 13 th century (1250-1300 A.H.). content analysis describes the changes in the effect of diffenent social, politiral and cultural factors of that time on the play and also, The play's effectiveuess on the existing environwent in the society, and structural analysis is concerned with the quality of the play elements Like play make-up , characterization, plot and play polishing
