تهیه نقشه پوشش و کاربری زمین شناسائی نوع عارضه ها وخصوصیات سطح زمین را بازگو می کند و این بررسی می تواند شامل خصوصیات پوشش زمین، پوشش گیاهی، زمین شناسی، پیدایش شهر، آب و اراضی بایر باشد که تغییر در پوشش و کاربری زمین و دیگر خصوصیات فیزیکی باعث تاثیر در آب و هوا می شود .در حال حاضر اطلاعات حاصل از سنجش از دور منبعی ایده ال برای تهیه نقشه پوشش و کاربری زمین با استفاده از تصاویر ماهواره ای با قدرت تفکیک مکانی، طیفی و زمانی محسوب می شود .در این تحقیق نیز برای مدلسازی تغییرات کاربری با استفاده از تصاویر ماهواره ای چند زمانه از تصاویر سنجنده های ‮‭۱۹۸۹TM‬ ،‮‭۲۰۰۳ LissIII‬ ،‮‭ETM + ۲۰۰۲‬به همراه نقشه رقومی استفاده گردید .و با استفاده از تصاویر مذکور برای ارزیابی تغییرات از روشهای تفریق، تقسیم ، تحلیل مولفه های اصلی، طبقه بندی تصاویر و مقایسه بعد از طبقه بندی جهت کشف تغییرات استفاده گردید که در بین روشهای ذکر شده، روش طبقه بندی تصاویر و مقایسه بعد از طبقه بندی بهترین روش بوده که امکان تعیین نوع و ماهیت تغییرات را نیز می توان معین و مشخص نمود که طبق این روش، تغییرات حادث شده در منطقه مورد مطالعه ‮‭۳۵/۳۶‬ در صد بود که عمده ترین تغییرات مربوط به گسترش سگونتگاهها، اراضی ساخته شده در روی اراضی کشاورزی و باغات پیرامون آنها، احداث سد علویان در شمال شهر مراغه و تغییر الگوی کشت، پیشروی و پسروی آب دریاچه ارومیه، گسترش اراضی مرطوب و نمکزار در اثر این پیشروی و پسروی و تبدیل اراضی با پوشش گیاهی متوسط به کم را می توان اشاره نمود که در منطقه مورد مطالعه رخ داده است.

2002 and digital map for modeling of land use chenges through multi satellite images. By those images, the researcher used differencing, rotioing, principal component analysis, classification image and post classification comparison for detecting of changes. Among those mentional methods, the classification image and post classification comparison method was the best method. This method can also determine the nature and sort of changes. According this method, the total change of determinded studies area 36.35 percent. AS a result the main changes were developing of residences, establishing of buildings on agricultural lands and gardens, establishing of Alaviyan dam and the change of cultivational pattern, retrograding and advancing of Orumiye lakes retrograding and advancing, developing of wet and salt marsh lands and becaming of middle NDVI to low in a result that retrograding and advancing+The present study is designed to prepare of land cover and land use map and to explore of attributes and the properties of land surface. This study can also include land cover properties, NDVI, geology, emergence of urban, water and barren land; Because the change of land use and land cover and ather physical propertise can influenc the climate. Nowadays remote sensing data is the ideal source to prepare of land cover and land use map by using of satellite image with the power of spatial , spectral and temporal resolution.
