معنای زندگی در چند دهه‌صی اخیر جزء پژوهش‌صهای مهم فیلسوفان قرار گرفته است .ما می‌صتوانیم رگه‌صهایی از معنای زندگی را در فلسفه‌صهای فیلسوفانی چون نیچه، برگسون، کی‌صیرکگور، دیلتای و ... بیابیم .ملالت‌صهای دوران مدرنیته و گرایش به پوچی و بی-معنایی توجه اندیشمندان را به سمت و سوی زندگی و معنای آن معطوف ساخته است .در واقع معنای زندگی در ارتباط با انسان شکل می‌صگیرد .در این میان، ویلیام جیمز به عنوان یک پراگماتیست و ویتگنشتاین به عنوان یک فیلسوف تحلیلی نیز در این زمینه نظریاتی مطرح کرده‌صاند و با اینکه متعلق به دو حوزه‌صی فکری مختلف هستند، برخی عناصر مشترک در باب معنای زندگی را می‌صتوان در فلسفه‌صهایشان یافت .ما در این پژوهش می‌صخواهیم این عناصر مشترک را از فلسفه‌صهای این دو بیرون بکشیم که از جمله می‌صشود به موارد ذیل اشاره کرد: ۱- کاربردپذیر بودن معنا۲ - ورود زبان در اشکال مختلف زندگی۳ - تأکید بر انسان-وارگونگی زندگی۴ - تأکید بر تجربه در زندگی انسان۵ - تقدم عمل بر نظر۶ - تبیین پراگماتیکی معنا و شناخت۷ - تأکید بر اهمیت دین و عناصر اجتماعی و انضمامی در زندگی انسان .ما با بررسی این عناصر در اندیشه‌صی جیمز و ویتگنشتاین دوم، متوجه می‌صشویم که معنای زندگی در عمل و کاربرد نهفته است .و اینها جدا از معنا نیستند یعنی معنا در کاربرد است، که به تفصیل در متن پایان‌صنامه بحث خواهد شد
Text of Note
The meaning of life has been one of the most important philosophical studies in recent decades. We can find traces of the meaning of life in philosophies such as Nietzsche, Bergson, Kierkegaard, Dilthey and so on. The boredom of modernity and the tendency for absurdity and nonsense have drawn the attention of scholars to the direction and meaning of life. In fact, the meaning of life is formed in relation to man. In the meantime, William James as a pragmatist and Wittgenstein as an analytical philosopher have put forward some theories and although belonging to two different fields of thought, have a number of common elements about the meaning of life can be found in their philosophies. In this research we want to draw these common elements out of these two philosophies, which are as follows: 1. Usability of meaning, 2. Language input into different forms of life, 3. Emphasis on the anthropogenicity of life, 4. Emphasis on experience in human life, 5. Priority of action over opinion, 6. Pragmatic explanation of meaning and cognition, 7. Emphasize the importance of religion and social and concrete elements in human life. By examining these elements in the thought of James and The Later Wittgenstein, we find that the meaning of life lies in action and use. And these are not separate from meaning; meaning is in use, which will be discussed in detail in the thesis
