روشن‌فکران آذربایجان ایران، در پیدایش ادب روایی و نمایشی و ترجمه پیشگام بوده‌صاند .آفرینش آثار داستانی مهم و فراوان به دست آذربایجانی‌صها، ایجاب می‌صکند که سیر داستان‌نویسی در آذربایجان مورد مطالعه قرار گیرد .این پژوهش به همین مقصود صورت گرفته است .روش در این پژوهش این بوده است که هر اثر روایی که در آذربایجان یا خارج از محدودة جغرافیایی آن، اما به دست نویسندگان آذربایجانی خلق شده‌صاست، از نظر موضوع، مضمون و مختصری از شرح حال نویسنده، به ترتیب تاریخ از مشروطه تا سال ۱۳۳۰معرفی شود .نتیج این تحقیق، نشان می‌صدهد که آذربایجانی‌صها علاوه بر آغازگری صد و پنجاه سال خود، در خلق آثار روایی و نمایشی مهم، معتبر و ارزشمند، خدمات زیادی به فرهنگ و تمدن ایران کرده‌صاند .پس از مراجعه به منابع در دسترس در این دوره، در مجموع ۹۲ اثر از ۲۶ نفر از داستان‌نویسان و نمایش‌نامه‌نویسان پیدا شد که از میان آثار پیدا شده، ۱۶ اثر نمایشنامه، ۲ اثر رمان، ۵ اثر داستان و ۶۹ اثر داستان کوتاه است .موضوع اکثر آثار بررسی شده، بیشتر در زمین تاریخی، اجتماعی و سیاسی است و مضامینی مانند تجدد، بیداری، آزادی‌خواهی و قانون در دور قبل از حکومت رضاشاه و بعد از آن دوره نیز، مواردی مانند نمایش فساد حاکم در حکومت پهلوی، استقلال طلبی، تبلیغ سیاست‌های فرق دمکرات و ...دیده می‌شود

Iranian Azerbaijani intellectuals have been pioneers in the development of narrative and dramatic literature and translation. The creation of important and numerous fictional works by Azerbaijanis requires that the development of storytelling in Azerbaijan be studied. This research was conducted for this purpose. The method used in this study was that any narrative work created in Azerbaijan or outside its geographical boundaries but made by Azerbaijani writers, in terms of subject, content, and a brief history of the author, respectively, history of the constitution until 1330 To be introduced. The results of this research show that in addition to their one hundred and fifty years of existence, the Azerbaijanis have greatly contributed to Iranian culture and civilization in the creation of important, authentic and valuable narrative and dramatic works. After looking at the resources available during this period, a total of 92 works from 26 storytellers and playwrights were found. Among the works found are 16 plays, 2 novels, 5 storylines and 69 short stories. Most of the works reviewed are mostly historical, social, and political, with themes such as renewal, awakening, freedom-seeking, and law in the period before Reza Shah's rule and afterwards, such as the display of corruption in the Pahlavi government, and the pursuit of independence, The propaganda of Democratic Party policies and so on
