ادبیات شفاهی، میراث معنوی و سنت‌های داستانی، غیر داستانی و نمایشی مردم است که عمدتا به شکل شفاهی از نسلی به نسل دیگر منتقل می‌شود .گاه برای ادبیات شفاهی اصطلاحاتی چون ادبیات عامه، ادبیات قومی و ادبیات عامیانه هم به کار برده می‌شود .ادبیات شفاهی از آن جهت که نشانگر زندگی اجتماعی مردم، آداب و رسوم، آرزوها و رؤیاهای یک سرزمین است دارای اهمیت است، همچنین دربردارنده‌ی اطلاعاتی هستند که در علوم مختلف از جمله انسان‌شناسی، جامعه‌شناسی، مردم‌شناسی، زبان‌شناسی و ... کاربرد دارند .در روایت‌صهای شفاهی کلمات و حالت‌صهای دستوری محجور را می‌صتوان پیدا کرد که از لحاظ زباصشناسی حائز اهمیت است .با از بین رفتن این روایت‌صها جنبه‌های بررسی نشده‌ی فراوانی از ویژگی‌های مختلف سرزمینی که ادبیات شفاهی در آن رواج دارد از بین می‌صرود .این رساله به ثبت و بررسی بخشی از این گونه‌ی ادبی می‌پردازد .در این رساله ‮‭۹‬ افسانه‌ی رایج در میان ایل ملکشاهی ساکن در استان ایلام جمع‌آوری و تحلیل شده‌اند .این افسانه‌ها به زبان کردی جنوبی و با لهجه‌ی ملکشاهی می‌باشند .کردی جنوبی گویشی از زبان کردی است که در ایلام و کرمانشاه و مناطقی در عراق از جمله خانقین و مندلین تکلم می‌شود .ایل ملکشاهی نسبت به دیگر ساکنان ایلام از اصالت زبانی بیشتری برخوردارند و نسبت به زبان خود متعصب‌تر از دیگر ساکنان مناطق مجاور خود هستند .ثبت و ضبط ادبیات شفاهی رایج در این منطقه ما را با بخشی از فرهنگ و آداب و رسوم منطقه و همچنین با زبان و ادبیات آن آشنا می‌کند

Oral literature is peoples spiritual heritage, fictional, non-fictional and dramatic traditions, which is mostly transmitted orally from one generation to another. Sometimes terms like Folklore, Ethnical literature, and folk tales are used for oral literature. Oral literature has a very significant importance, because it represents the social life, traditions, dreams and desires of a lands people; the oral literature also contains information which is useful in different sciences such as: anthropology, sociology, linguistics, etc. It is possible to find forbidden words and grammatical structures in oral narratives, which are very important in terms of linguistics. By disappearing of these narratives, many unexplored aspects of the various features of a land in which the oral literature prevails, will be destroyed. This thesis will record and explore some parts of this literary genre. In this thesis, nine common myths among the Malekshahi tribe who are the inhabitants of Ilam province are collected and analysed. The language of these myths is into southern Kurdish with a Malekshahi dialect. The southern Kurdish is a dialect of Kurdish language, which is spoken in Ilam, Kermanshah, and some regions in Iraq, including Khaneghin and Mandalin. Malekshahi tribe has a more lingual authenticity than other residents of Ilam, and they are also more fanatical than other residents in their neighbourhood. Recording of the oral literature of this region will get us acquainted with some aspects of the regions culture, traditions, and also with their language and literature
