There are abundant mineral and warm springs in Iran, due to the volcanic activity and repetition of its cycles from the very far to the present time, and the Sabalan area is one of these important areas. The study area is located in the northwest of Iran and in Ardebil province. This area consists of Sarayneh and Nayer in the west and southwest of Ardebil and between the geographic longitudes 470 46? to 480 15? East and latitudes 380 15? to 370 25? North and is located 28 km from Ardebil and 177 km from Tabriz and accessible through the asphalt road of TabrizArdebil. This region is part of the Aras catchment area, with an average rainfall of 375 mm and an average temperature of 10 C, classified as semi-arid in UNESCO's classification. The catchment area of the studied area has large and permanent rivers such as BaqiKalishai, Sar-e-Nakhai and others. Hydrogeochemical studies of water resources of the region can be used for the use of water resources in different sectors, development of wells and optimal water resources management. In addition, due to the use of hydrothermal springs in the area for water treatment, the quality of these waters can be important. This area is considered to be a hard formation in terms of studies. In order to study the groundwater quality in this area, in addition to collecting preliminary data, 21 samples of groundwater resources were collected in October of this year. In this area, there are no preCretaceous formations and volcanic activity and its products, along with Neogene sediments, constitute the most important formations of the region. Porosity in the region is often a type of debris resulting from tectonic movements as well as the operation of radial and circular faults. This porosity, especially at the intersection of them, is quite evident and causes the flow of groundwater and the transfer of water from the depths to the ground. Most of the springs also come from gaps and gaps from the intrusion of igneous rock, so that in the Serein the springs are located linearly on the fault. There are no aqueducts in the study area. The number of wells in the study area is limited, which is created on the margin of the rivers, and the water resources of this area originate from the springs and rivers of this region such as Bulaghlar, Gurgur, Babilakhai, Aghaghaghan, and etc. In this research, the concentration of the main elements and some of the heavy elements and their possible sources, factors and processes affecting the hydrochemical properties of the area using the physico-chemical properties of the waters. In order to achieve the desired goals, the chemical analytical results of the samples are used and will be examined by relevant software such as GIS, SPSS, Rockwork and AqQA
