Today, the use of adhesives and adhesives has attracted considerable attention due to the uniformity of the bonding surface, the reduction of stress concentration and bonding weight, the prevention of rusting and the significant reduction in cost over other types of permanent joints in various industries. A variety of parameters affecting adhesive joints can be related to temperature, fracture, breakdown, etc., which is of particular importance to investigate. Creep, on the other hand, is a change that occurs over a period of time in materials that are under constant stress. In this thesis, an experimental study of the behavior of adhesive joints under tensile and creep loading and the influence of temperature and damage on joints is discussed. The single-sided connection and sheets used are 6060 aluminum. The adhesive used is a two-component epoxy Araldite resin 2011. A special molding is also used to fine-tune the thickness of the adhesive layer. 40 tests have been performed for these adhesive joints under various conditions of tensile and creep loading and results have been obtained for different types of joints including simple joint, faulty joint at different loading temperatures. The results show that simple joints have higher tensile and creep strength than fractured joints. Also, by analyzing the results of creep test at different temperatures, it can be pointed out that creep strength is lowered at temperatures above ambient temperature.
