Text of Note
The fourth industrial revolution, which became known as Industry 4.0 in 2011 and spread with technological innovations day by day, characterizes a new era for the sectors. This revolution, which involves intelligent and autonomous systems, requires the integrity of the sectors. It is clear that logistics, which is the basis of supply chain flow, will also be affected by this revolution. In this study, industry 4.0 and its components were explained and these components were adapted to logistics. Logistics, needs structuring investments in order to move to 4.0. In order to measure the point of view for the necessary investments, information was collected from the employees of logistics and foreign trade sector through a survey. Necessary analyzes were made and reported. It is aimed to determine whether there is a difference in the perspectives according to demographic variables. The three main factors were reached; there was no significant difference in the positive approach to logistics 4.0 investments with respect to demographic variables, and significant differences were found in the negative approach to logistics 4.0 investments and intolerance to risks in logistics 4.0investments. Unemployment, investment costs and the fate of small and medium-sized firms were the most important concerns to be overcome against logistics 4.0 investments.
