Effect of Information Communication Technology (ICT) on wage control within the Ministry, Department and Agencies in Kwara State is of great concern. However, the assertion that fraud is very complicated was confirmed as there seem not to be standard way of curbing fraud. Thus, this study empirically investigated the effect of ICT system on wage control in Kwara State ministries. The specific objectives are to; (i) examine the effect of Interactive Data Extractive and Analysis Software (IDEAS) usage on wage control (ii) evaluate the effect of computerized system on wage control and (iii) investigate the effect of Biometric data on wage control of Ministries in Kwara State. Primary data which were collected through self-administered questionnaires on 135 accountants of the selected ministries. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The inferential statistical tool used is the ordered logit regression model which was used to examine the effect of Interactive Data Extractive and Analysis Software (IDEAS) usage on wage control, computerized system and biometric data on wage control of the ministries. The regression results revealed t value of 7.06, 0.243 as well as t value of 1.154 and p value of 0.000 p value 0.07 and p value of 0.248 for interactive data extractive and analysis software, computerized system and biometric data respectively. In line with these findings, the study concluded that IDEA usage, Computerized Payroll System (CPS) and Biometric Data (BD) had a strong positive significant relationship with fraud prevention and wage control of Ministries in Kwara State. The study recommended that: government agencies should ensure serious security measures are taken to protect that data in ICT in order to improve fraud detection and wage control, and Ministries should improve on computerized system in order to improves the efficiency of wage control in the Ministries in Kwara State. Furthermore, Ministries should constantly organized seminars, workshops and training for their staff on computerized system control in order to improve their efficiency and also allow to participate in decision making which will in turn improve fraud detection and control of wage in Kwara State.
