"The purpose of this essay is to set in motion a hermeneutics of divine posse through the exploration of religious, poetic, and artistic works on the promise of advent, spanning the North-South axis of our globe-from the European Renaissance to a present-day transcultural Andean Renaissance. It takes its point of departure from Richard Kearney's essay "Enabling God," with its proposed play of hermeneutic circles from sacred to secular contexts in our readings of "annunciation" and "advent." I see this methodological shift as a necessary step towards making further imaginative leaps between wisdom traditions in our search to understand the experiences and aspirations symbolized in religious and artistic expressions across cultures."
