Antoine Geuffroy (d. 1556) was a French knight of the Order of St. John (Knights of Rhodes) who wrote Estat de la court du grant Turc (Antwerp and Paris 1542; subsequently published as Briefve description de la court du grant Turc , Paris 1543), which was one of the many works on the administration, religion, history, and manners and customs of the Ottomans that gained great currency in Europe, at the time of the "Turkish menace."
