Seh Bari was a legendary teacher of mystical doctrines whose name is associated with one of the most important manuscripts from the early period of the Islamisation of Java, Javanese manuscript Cod. Or. 1928, kept in the collection of Leiden University. The manuscript is a sixteenth-century work and one of only two Javanese Islamic manuscripts that can be dated with certainty to before the seventeenth century.
