Arabacı Ali (ʿĀli) Paşa was the Ottoman grand vizier from late 1102/the summer of 1691 until the middle of 1103/spring of 1692. His birth date is unknown, but at the time of his accession he was an elderly man, possibly already in his sixties, and thus born around the year 1040/1630. He was of Albanian origin and a native of Ohri (Okhrid). Earlier in life he had been a member of the ilmiye ( ʿilmiyye , the body of men learned in Islamic law): initially he had served as
