Abdurrahman Nureddin Paşa (ʿAbd al-Raḥmān Nūr al-Dīn Pasha, 1836-1912) served as an Ottoman provincial governor (his posts including Ankara and Baghdad), minister of justice (1895-1908), and grand vizier to Sultan Abdülhamid II (ʿAbd al-Ḥamīd II, 1882). He was born in Kütahya as a son of Kütahyalı Hacı Ali Paşa (Kütahyalı Ḥājjī ʿAlī Pasha, d. 1879). He first served in various positions under his father. In 1872 he was promoted to the rank of vizier. Abdurrahman seems to have had profound Sufi (Ṣūfī) interests, and he
