Abdurrahman Hibri (ʿAbd al-Raḥmān Ḥibrī) (b. Zilhicce (Dhu l-Ḥijjah) 1012/May 1604-d. 1068/1658 or 1069/1659) was the son of the müderris (teacher) Habbazzade Hasan (Khabbāz-zāde Ḥasan) Efendi (d. 10 Ramazan (Ramaḍān) 1039/23 April 1630). He was educated in his native Edirne and in Istanbul. It appears that he adopted Hibri (lit. "knowledgeable, learned") as his nom de plume when he started composing poetry as a young man.
