Business competitive strategy are concerns with all those moves and approaches a firm has or is taking to attract buyers, withstand competitive pressure and improves it market position to gain a competitive advantage. The stiff competitions among today's business environment lead organizations in adopting series of strategy to manover competitors in the restaurant industry. However one of the major problems of competitive strategy is the dynamics of changing business environment, intense market competition and globalization which lead firm to quickly grasp surprising opportunities and responds to threats and out-wit their rivals to succeed. Companies often runs to problem dues to the scope of operations or market coverage if they do not properly formulate the strategic position and find the best defensive position against competitive forces. Thus the purpose of the study is to investigate the impact of Business competitive strategy on performance of selected restaurants in Ilorin Kwara State in view of this objective the study used the three porter generic strategy to measure and address the key performance and its effectiveness on restaurant business. However, to determine the relation and impact of business competitive strategy on performance of firm, regression analysis was employed to test and analyze the data to identify what factors post utmost hindrance to effective management and performance of firm. Findings of the study show that cost leadership strategy has significant impact on performance of selected restaurant in Ilorin metropolis, Kwara State.
