The purpose of this study is to discover how Head Start preschool teachers perceive technology, and whether it is a prominent tool within their classrooms. In order to see what impact technology has in Early Childhood Education, specifically in Head Start a qualitative method approach was conducted, and Head Start teachers were interviewed. The results of these interviews lead to common themes such as barriers, purpose and value judgements. Through these themes, there were factors, such as advocating, supporting classroom curriculum and structure, which lead to some explanation of teacher beliefs, and why incorporating technology into early childhood classrooms is necessary. This study provides a better understanding of how it is important to evolve teaching around technology to relate to young students.
