SUMMARY OR ABSTRACT
Text of Note
The U.S.-ROK security relationship is being severely tested at precisely the same time that its importance in advancing critical U.S. and South Korean interests is arguably greater than ever. Although the relationship itself is not currently endangered, the ground is shifting. Sustaining the relationship for the long haul will require focused efforts to adapt it to the new global and domestic conditions. This report addresses the challenges facing both the long-term future of the alliance and its management today.
