SUMMARY OR ABSTRACT
Text of Note
In 1982, Japan was still a country of "capitalism from above". For the subsequent ten years, the country's economy faltered and declined, turning towards ?capitalism from below? despite Japan's weak democracy. In this book, the author investigates that directional change using an in-depth knowledge of the Japanese ethos, national history, and educational background, as well as the sociology of the Japanese economy and business world.
