SUMMARY OR ABSTRACT
Text of Note
Safety Performance Functions are mathematical models that estimate the predicted number of crashes (Npredicted) at a given site for different road facilities during a specific period of time (commonly 1 year), based on the geometric road features, traffic, and crash data. Since there is always a limit of funds for safety transportation improvements, it is important to allocate the resources in sites that will benefit the most.
