Fieldwork logging, transmitted-light petrography, stable (oxygen and carbon) isotope analyses, scanning electron (SEM) and fluorescence microscopy, and dissolution analysis on selected samples have been used to describe the stratigraphic and diagenetic features of the Upper Triassic carbonates and hybrid arenites outcropping sequence of the Milaha Formation in Wadi Milaha, Ras Al Khaimah (RAK), United Arab Emirates (UAE). The investigated diagenetic characteristics include - among others - micritization, compaction, cementation, recrystallization, replacement and dissolution.
