SUMMARY OR ABSTRACT
Text of Note
Machining of Titanium Alloys is one of the challenges for scientists due to different characteristics of this alloy. There are some improvements in the production of cutting tool materials including cast irons, steels and some high-temperature alloys such as nickel-based alloys, but the low category of cutting tool can be used for titanium alloys because of its characteristics. This project analysis the different cutting tool angles on the machining of titanium alloys. Results showed that for machining of titanium because of the hardness of this alloy smaller relief angle should be used to increase the efficiency of cutting and tool life. Also, CVD and ceramic cutting tools are not suitable options for the machining of titanium due to the high chemical tendency of titanium to the reaction.
