SUMMARY OR ABSTRACT
Text of Note
The nature of the phenomenon of wear in machining processes due to many factors affects machining operations regarding temperature, influences in machining conditions (cutting speed, feed rate, depth of cut). In dry machining the chance of wear increase dramatically which has dire consequences for manufacturers and result in paying vast sums of money annually. The aim of this study was to simulate the machining operations, and the performance of cutting tools PCBN (poly carbonate Bern cubic nitride) on machining titanium alloy and tool steel H-13 is using chip analysis. The results showed that if cutting tool angles are not in suitable range, vibration, chattering, breaking and low surface quality will be observed.
