SUMMARY OR ABSTRACT
Text of Note
This proceedings volume brings together new techniques and experiments in fundamental surface science to problems of metal and semiconductor surfaces, thin films and catalysts. It contains the invited lectures from an Astralian-German Surface Science Workshop held in Sydney, Australia. The intention of this volume is to illustrate the wide scope of modern surface science. The central theme of the book is the application of surfacescience to problems of practical significance. It will attract interest as ateaching aid for graduate students and academic researchers. The emphasis on application will also appeal to industrial scientists seeking to learn how surface science techniques can be applied to real world problems.
