This book is the product of a task force which met to exchange ideas and stimulate discussion about new approaches to the treatment of leukaemia. Five major areas of innovation are examined in papers generated by professionals who are well known in their respective fields. Current results in chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biological response modifiers, bone marrow transplantation and cytogenetics, and molecular genetics are presented. These new approaches in the treatment of leukaemia will undoubtedly find prompt application to the treatment of other malignancies.
