.Introduction: Cardiovascular Diseases (CVDs) are the common causes of death around the world. Most of the time, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft Surgery (CABGS) remains as the last chance of treatment when conventional methods such as drug therapy and other remedies are not effective. Cardiac rehabilitation is an effective strategy to reduce complications of surgery for the patients undergone CABGS. Knowing the patients' experiences from cardiac rehabilitation process helps to clarify and manage the care process, and care develop. The aim of this study was to explore the cardiac rehabilitation process in patient with CABG.Methods: This study was conducted by qualitative approach using grounded theory method in 2011-2013. The participants were patients who did CABGS in a Guilan university-affiliated hospital. The caregivers participated as well when there was needed. Purposive sampling used to data collection and it continued through theoretical sampling and it followed up to data saturated. Unstructured interviews and observations used to data gathering. Constant comparative analysis based on "Corbin" and "Strauss" (1998) was used for data analysis
