Purpose Comparison of maternal stress profiles in mothers who have children with ADHD and control group.Background ADHD is one of the most common children disorders that consist of 50 refered children to psychiatric clinics. Management of extroverted behaviors in children with ADHD is reported with high stress level to their parents in this study we tried to identify domains that mothers who has children with ADHD, tolerated excessive stress.Material & Methods Mothers who have children with ADHD at the range of 3-12 years old and refred to the children behavioral clinic of Rofaedeh (45 persons) through 1387 was selected and evaluated with PSI/LF questionnaire in control group we used CBCL questionnaire to ruling out any psychiatric and behavioral disorders. And then PSI/LF questionnaire was completed with control group and at the end information's was analyzed.Results This study indicates material stress in mothers who have children with ADHD ishigher than control group also maternal stress in child and parent domains in mothers who have children with ADHD is higher than control group.In all subscales of child domains (consist of distractibility/hyperactivity,Acceptability, Demandingness, Mood, Reinforces, Adaptability) mothers who have children with ADHD was in clinically significant range. In parent domain, in all subscales (except: role restriction, spouse, health) was yet.Conclusion Maternal stress in mothers who have children with ADHD is higher than control group and this difference almost in all subscales and domains is noticeable therefore we shod consider psychological help in this group Key words: stress, parenting stress index.
