This research was done with purpose of The relationship between intelligence and adaptive behavior in male educable mentally retarded pupils aged 7- 14 years in Damghan. method in this research is correlation. Since the research were been done in Damghan all of students were 113. Some of the students were omitted because of sever vision and hearing. A number of samples were 60 boys and 30 girls. The instruments in research were Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scale and Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children-Revised. The results were analyzed with 87 statistical tests (K-S, pearson correlation, independent samples test). Findings of this research confirm the relation between intelligence and adaptive behavior : (r= 0/26, p= 0/01). Conclusion: The low relation between intelligence and adaptive behavior is describing that intelligence and adaptive behavior two different categories that measured different ability in students.
