Objective: This study investigated the relationship between social participation and quality of life for aging , Aging center of Tehran Municipality has been registered. .Methods: This prospective study was Sectional, the survey sample included 022 individuals aged 02 or older members of centers in three regions of Tehran Municipality is .1.0 and 02. The double sampling were selected and the quality of life questionnaire Lypad, social participation questionnaire and interview to obtain demographic information on the check list. The data also using the SPSS-.0 software, using T and F tests and Tuky, Pearson correlation and linear regression Was analyzed Results: This study compares the mean score for quality of life (Sig= 21..0)and social participation (Sig= 214.0) of elderly men and women using independent t test was no significant difference between the two groups. The relationship between social participation and quality of life of elderly peoplewas used the Pearson correlation coefficient that was found significant relationship between these two variables and their dimensions (Sig= 2122).Conclusion: The results indicate a significant relationship between social participation and the quality of life . Non-institutional participation is a stronger predictor for the variance changes of quality of life .This indicates the dominance of non-institutional participation among the elderly.Keywords: social participation, quality of life, Aging people, Aging
