8 letters are the most frequently used among others. It is also understood that the advanced proficiency level learners use short words more than long words. Furthermore, it is proved that there is no relationship between high proficiency levels and remembering the long term words. The findings of the present study will be advantageous to English language researchers to develop long words and advisers should provide researchers in order to cultivate and develop their awareness of word length effect on their articles-101). The statistical study of the word length effect indicates that the mean of words of 5-length frequency distributions is one of the vastest quantitative linguistics. Cowan (1995) has stated that word length effect, the finding that people do indeed recall temporally shorter words better than temporally longer words, is the "best remaining solid evidence" ( pp.62- square test as a statistical formula was used for finding special statistical differentiation between two domains in exploring short and long terms in three parts, as well. According to Best (2001), the literature on word-The present study aimed to determine the relationship between word length effect and vocabulary learning across high proficiency levels in EFL learners.
