Gide, a great writer of the 20th century had conflicting ideas. As there is a link between compliance and the life and work of Gide, we decided to analyze the outstanding works of each stage of the life of the writer to determine the evolution of his thought throughout his life. For this purpose, we have divided his work into three major groups: the first group of youth works of the writer, the second group, those that Gide has written in the maturity of his life and the third group works written in his old age. Given the abundance of these works, we chose three larger works each corresponding to a stage in the life of the writer marshes, CLOSE THE DOOR and Theseus. In this research, we tried to draw a clear plan on changing the thinking of Gide for his entire life. Marshlands Gide wrote in 1895. Through this book, Gide shows his disagreement with the monotony that dominates his life and literature of the time. We found in the story problems that were suffering the spirit of Gide and we determined the influence of the great writers of the world as Goethe and Nietzsche on him. Narrow Gate is a love story published in 1909. In this autobiographical Gide attack austere dogmas of Protestantism and argues that these rules are rigid obstacles to human happiness. Through this story, we talked about the influence of environment on the formation of religious thought Gide and we talked about happiness and great favorite of the writer. Theseus is the last book of Gide published in 1946 where he left his last words and his last secrets. In the analysis of this work, we have determined the most important themes of the whole work of Gide فAndr.
