.In order to the sustainable development, it is necessary in the country to have schematization of the whole neater environment based on the evaluation of all factors. In spatial planning programs, land evaluation is an interface between ovservation of resource recognition and decision making. Land capability evaluation is a very complex process whose implementation requires simultaneous considerations of several environmental, economicl and social criteria. Whereas GIS techniques have abilities in gathering, storage, editing, analysis and modeling, they are also useful tools for spatial programmers in relation to multi criteria evaluations. Generally final propose of utilities GIS techniques is providing necessary patronage for planning and decision making. In this research data and basic maps involve topography, soil, water resources and climate to compile other necessary maps through them. The landuse map was extracted by SPOT satellite image and maximum likelihood method. For spatial analysis and multi criteria evaluation we used IDRISI and ARCGIS softwares. For value standardization and scale equalization in map layers was applied FUZZY method and finally for weighting the, criteria we used analytical hierarchy process (AHP). By overlaying maps with weighted liner combination (WLC) method and design model in MODEL BUILDER environment we tried to provide agricultural capability evaluation maps for irrigation and dry farming lands. At the end irrigation and dry farming agriculture land use maps were combined together based on the application of preferences and agricultural capability maps were prepared for the region. Agricultural capability maps were compared with landuse map and the rate of correlation between them and landuse map was calculated
