ازجمله عمده ترین ویژگی های ادبیات دوران معاصر، پیوند شعر با اجتماع و مردم است و مردم‌گرایی و توجه به حوادث زمان خصوصیت بارز شعر این دوره به شمار می رود .شهریار نیز به عنوان یکی از برجسته ترین شعرای دوره ی معاصر، شاعری متعهد و مردمی شناخته می شود و می توان او را شاعر ارزش ها دانست .از جمله عمده ترین مضامینی که در شعر شهریار مشاهده می شود، مضامین سیاسی- اجتماعی است، مضامین مذکور در شعر او از جایگاه ویژه ای برخوردار بوده و دارای بسامد بالایی است بطوری که اشعار وی به جز جنبه های ادبی، غنایی و عرفانی از لحاظ مضامین سیاسی و اجتماعی نیز قابل توجه و بررسی است.لذا نگارنده در این پژوهش تاثیر مسائل سیاسی و اجتماعی را در شعر شهریار به روش کتابخانه ای و توصیفی و تحلیلی، مورد مطالعه و بررسی قرار داده است .نتایج به دست آمده از این پژوهش اثبات می کند که این شاعر پرآوازه، شاعری مردمی بوده است .با نگاهی دقیق‌تر به اشعار شهریار به نظر می‌رسد او چه در دوره ابتدایی شاعری در دوره ی پهلوی اول و چه در دهه ی آخر عمرش در جمهوری اسلامی، ‮‭۶۰‬ سال منتظر صدای توحید و وقوع انقلاب اسلامی بوده و همواره به کج‌اندیشی‌ها، نابرابری ها و ستمگری ها اعتراض کرده و نسبت به مسائل سیاسی و اجتماعی جامعه بی تفاوت نبوده و در اتفاقات مهم جامعه در میان مردم حاضر شده است و شعر و ادبیات خویش را در خدمت جامعه و به تصویر کشیدن حوادث و اتفاقات آن قرار داده است

Shahriar, as one of the most prominent poets of contemporary period, is known as a committed and popular poet And he can be considered a poet of values. One of the main themes of Shahriyar's poetry is political-social them So that his poems are remarkable in terms of both political and social issues, except literary, ghostly and mystical aspectses, The themes mentioned in his poem have a special place and have a high frequency. Therefore, the author in this study studied the impact of political and social issues in Shahriyar's poetry through library and descriptive and analytical methods. The results of this study prove that this well-known poet was a popular poet. Looking more closely at Shahriar's poems, it seems that he, for the first time in the Pahlavi period and during the last decade of his life in the Islamic Republic, was 60 years waiting for the voice of monotheism and the outbreak of the Islamic Revolution and they have always objected to injustices, inequalities and oppression. And it's not indifferent to the political and social issues of society. And in the important events of society among the people has been present. And put his poetry and literature in the service of society and portraying events and events
