Koca Ragib Pasa has been known as a poet of 18th. century of Ottoman Empire. He was a diplomat, soldier, scientist, musician, calligrapher and writer. By along of his success in state affairs, he was famous in Poetry by being the biggest representative of "Hikemi" (Wisdom) method in 18th. century Divan Poetry. Because of that, in his time the influence of Persian literature in traditional Turkish poetry continue to grow.
