It is known that many elements besides the aggessive dispositions of Sultans were influential in rapid development of Ottoman Sultanate in the foundation period. Settlement in a territory close to the frontier of Byzantine, commitment to Islamic religious principles 'Gaza and Jihad' for Holy war, geographical distance to the domination of The Mongol Empire were significant factors which enabled Ottoman Sultanate to enlarge in a short time. It is implied that there were many supporters of Ottoman Sultans from various sections in this period. It is obvious that they were given strong build-up particularly by religious elites such as "Dervish groups and Faqihs.
