Dreams, feeling, myth, and intuition are creations of the right brain that are increasingly undervalued in our modern world as the result of a hyperfocus on left-brained analytical activity. Humankind collectively suffers due to this loss. Through focused attention and documentation of dreams, a person can expand consciousness to directly affect the ability to achieve value, meaning, and purpose in life. Using an alchemical hermeneutic approach, this thesis posits that engagement with dreams can foster hemispheric balance and serve as a bridge of unification across mind, matter, soul, and spirit. Disciplined engagement with dream journaling, honoring the imaginal realm, and attention to synchronous events can propel one to the quantum field where recovery of the weakened feeling function becomes possible. At a divisive time in society when the wisdom of the ancestors feels lost, perhaps the teachers must come from within the dream.
