Differential time domain inverse scattering problems for semi-infinite one dimensional wave equation can be solved by two methods, namely, invariant imbedding and layer peeling methods. In this research we present and analyze these methods in terms of accuracy and complexity. It is found the invariant imbedding is of usdo(n\sp3usd) and the layer peeling method is of usdo(n\sp4)usd and both methods are stable.
