The mass proliferation of anti-Islamic rhetoric is manufactured and funded by individuals with specific political objectives. This paper reviews those political motivations and analyzes common problems with such rhetoric, why it is influential, and how it is used as a weapon. A sample of the work of one prolific author is used as an example to discuss these issues broadly.
