The following article examines John Levison's Filled with the Spirit for its overall contribution to pneumatology and in particular its contribution to biblical interpretation. I especially examine his contribution in light of Second Temple Jewish literature and the concept of inspiration and spiritual revelation. Levison's work has opened up new lines of inquiry from which many new questions have been raised in the area of biblical interpretation and pneumatology.
