[al-] ʿAlawiyya ( in Syria and Palestine from 1932). The ʿAlawiyya order ( ṭarīqa , lit., "path") has developed from its mother order ʿAlawiyya-Darqāwiyya-Shādhiliyya, founded in 1333/1914 by Shaykh Aḥmad b. ʿAlīwa or al-ʿAlawī, from Mostaghanem (Algeria).
