Abū Yaḥyā Muḥammad b. ʿAbdallāh b. ʿAbd al-Aʿlā al-Asadī, Ibn Kunāsa (123-207/741-823), was a transmitter of ḥadīth , philologist, and poet, who lived in Kufa and Baghdad.
