Hareket Ordusu (Ḥareket Ordusu), or "Action Army," was the name of the force mobilized in Macedonia to crush the mutiny that had broken out among the soldiers of the First Army in Istanbul on 9 Rebiülevvel (Rabīʿ I) 1327/31 March 1909. Within days of the mutiny, which soon became a counterrevolution against the İttihat ve Terakki Cemiyeti (İttiḥād ve Teraqqī Cemʿiyyeti, Committee of Union and Progress, CUP), telegrams poured into Istanbul from Macedonia.
