The Dilmaçoğulları beyliği (also known as the Dilmaç Beylik) was one of many petty Turkish polities formed in parts of Anatolia, the Jazīra, and the Caucasus following the battle of Manzikert (463/1071), and little is known about this relatively insignificant dynasty. It was founded by a Turk named Mehmed around the year 478/1085 after he was given Bitlis as ikta (iqṭā)ʿ by the Seljuq sultan and was centred on Bitlis and Erzen in far eastern Anatolia and the Caucasus from the end of the fifth/eleventh century
