Chittor (also Cittaur, Citaurgaŕh, in Hindi, and Citrakūta, in Sanskrit) was once the fortress-capital of Mewāŕ. Now in ruins, it lies about 108 kilomteres northeast of Udaipur (latitude 24.88° N, longitude 74.63° E). 1.
