Ana Bacı is the title of an allegorical story in rhymed Ottoman Turkish prose (the text also contains two gazel s /ghazel s), as well as the name of one of the story's protagonists. The tale is also known as Hikayet-i Hoca Abdürrauf ( Ḥikāyet-i Khōca Abdurraʾūf , "The story of Hoca Abdurra'uf") and Hikaye-i dendaniye ( Ḥikāye-i dendānīye , "The tooth story") .
