Abū Zayd Muḥammad b. Abī l-Khaṭṭāb al-Qurashī (fl. c. mid-fourth/tenth century) was an Arab adīb , known only for his anthology of pre- and early Islamic poets. As the Arab biographers did not find him worth mentioning, we may conclude that Abū Zayd, whose life remains completely obscure, was neither a prominent ālim nor an important person at all.
