Abū Saʿīd Bahādur Khān (r. 717-36/1318-35) was the ninth ruler of the Īlkhānate, which dominated Iran, Iraq, Anatolia, and the Caucasus between 656/1258 and 736/1335. He was born in 704/1305, the third son of the Īlkhān Uljaytū Khudābandah (r. 703-16/1304-16), and was raised in the ordu (royal court) until 713/1313-4, when he was sent to govern Khurāsān in the company of his atābak (atabeg) , Sevinj Aqa, who oversaw the administration of the province on his behalf (Qazvīnī, 609).
