Course is designed to help the learner masters hundreds of common idiomatic expressions used in the United States. Audio discs present 20 lessons, each of which explores a set of idioms through natural dialogs, explanations of the meaning, examples of use, and spoken practice exercises. CD-ROM presents each idiom and explanation in both spoken and written forms plus a spoken example with opportunity to repeat, and includes a way to hide the idiom or explanation, in flashcard style, as a way to test progress. A listener's guide with transcripts of the dialogs, idioms, and explanations is "available online."
