Linear elastic fracture mechanics model (LEFM) is valid until the nonlinear behavior of materials is limited to a small area around the crack tip. Determining the behavior of many materials regarding the state LEFM alternative is simply not possible. In this research elastic-plastic fracture mechanics for the materials by using nonlinear behavior (permanent deformation) produced in machining is presented. New analytical equipment to predict the crack behavior is discussed. Results showed crack can be independent of the toughness of the material and dimensions specific to the nearest acceptable and will be valid for a wide range of plastic crack tip. There are limitations in the use of this method, however, this model is more valid compared to the present models.
